A Lecture on the Adriatic GreenLab for Students from Washington on the Island of Prvić
A lecture was held on the island of Prvić for landscape architecture students from Washington, who are studying the local landscape, traditional practices, and the island’s potential as part of the AGL programme. The students presented the activities they are conducting in the field – from spatial analysis to developing ideas for sustainable landscape solutions that connect nature, tradition, and contemporary design approaches.
The lecture also brought together representatives of the local community, leading to a constructive discussion on establishing a Center for Science and Sustainable Development on the island. The conversation focused on opportunities for connecting international students, local associations, schools, and residents in jointly shaping future educational and innovation programmes.
As part of the project “STEM as a Driver of Development”, implemented by FabLab with the support of the Thematic Systemic Support of the National Foundation for Civil Society Development, efforts continue to strengthen local STEM ecosystems and encourage sustainable communities. This time, the focus was on the Adriatic GreenLab programme and its international dimension.
This activity is part of FabLab’s long-term commitment to connecting communities, promoting STEM, and fostering the development of sustainable ecosystems.
