STEMerica moves on (2025-2028) i STEMerica (2021-2023)
FabLab, an association for the promotion of digital fabrication, is the lead organization for the STEMerica project, whose implementation began on May 12, 2021, and lasted two years, and the continuation of the project STEMerica moves on, whose implementation began on March 12, 2025, until March 12, 2028.
The project aims to improve the capacities of civil society organizations in implementing interactive, innovative workshops and events at the national level in the field of popularizing STEM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) among children, youth and the general population. The capacities of CSOs will be strengthened through the participation of members and employees in trainings, study visits and public events in order to encourage cooperation, exchange knowledge and provide information on good national and European practices. Workshops and public events in the field of popularizing STEM will also be organized and implemented in several local communities across the Republic of Croatia.
It will enable the promotion and introduction of STEM topics, the demystification of science, and the dissemination of scientific facts to children, young people, and the general population through public events, and especially to children and young people through innovative and interactive workshops.
After the completion of the project, CSOs will have sufficient capacities and networking at the national level to organize future events in local communities across the Republic of Croatia, which will contribute to the sustainability of the project.
The project is financed by the European Social Fund (85%) and the State Budget of the Republic of Croatia (15%) as part of the competition “Strengthening the capacities of civil society organizations for the popularization of STEM”.
