EKO FEST(IVAL) Petnja
The two-day event at Lake Petnja near Sibinj, called EKO FEST(IVAL) PETNJA (June 7th and 8th, 2024), featured numerous institutions and organizations with their own activities and educational programs: Primary School Sibinjskih žrtava from Sibinj, the Croatian Technical Culture Community, Ruđer Bošković Technical School from Vinkovci, Hotel and Tourism School from Zagreb, Matija Mesić Gymnasium from Slavonski Brod, the Center for Development of Brod-Posavina County, the Institute for Entrepreneurial Education and Innovation, and Virtualci, Green Energy Cooperative, among others, with the INNCRO-IT association as the main local organizer. The FabLab association was the co-organizer of the event.
This is an innovative project focused on transforming the way we think about sustainable development and its role in our communities. The festival provided a unique platform for exchanging ideas, gaining new knowledge, and connecting with like-minded individuals. During the festival, a structured dialogue took place, with about 20 participants from scientific and educational institutions, local government units, and civil society organizations. During this dialogue, Roberto Vdović, president of the FabLab association, presented the past and future activities of the Thematic Systemic Support for the “STEM as a Driver of Development” area and invited attendees to join future activities. This led to an interesting discussion and exchange of ideas with a focus on the development of local ecosystems and how STEM can contribute as a driver of development.
The EKO FEST(IVAL) PETNJA was attended by numerous students in organized school visits, as well as families with children.
