From November 1st to 6th, FabLab Zagreb is taking part in the 𝐕𝐮𝐥𝐜𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫 2025 at the Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Ispra, Italy. The event brings together makers, innovators, and researchers from across Europe to exchange ideas, share experiences, and explore new opportunities for collaboration within the 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭. This year’s edition celebrates 11 years of the Vulca community and the spirit of open innovation.

On November 3rd, Roberto Vdović presented the topic “Building Local Ecosystems for STEAM as a Driver for Development”, sharing examples such as the 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐧𝐢𝐤 and future ambitions like the 𝐀𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧𝐋𝐚𝐛 𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐯𝐢ć 𝐈𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝.

Yesterday, on November 4th, we used our 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐛𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬 – developed as part of the DISTT project’s 3D Bodies module – to engage Vulca participants in creative collaboration. These chairs will now remain in the JRC Makerspace as part of the Vulca legacy. We proudly added our FabLab Zagreb stickers, marking our presence within the JRC community!
