International Knowledge and Experience Exchange at FabLab Zagreb

Following last week’s visit by members of the VULCA community, FabLab Zagreb once again had the pleasure of welcoming international guests working in the fields of digital fabrication, education, and innovation.

On the recommendation of the VULCA network, we were visited by Lars Back Johanssen from FabLab Skanderborg, Roland Hachmann from the University of Southern Denmark, and Angel Torres from the Universidad Politécnica Salesiana (UPS) in Ecuador. The visit also provided an opportunity to meet with Prof. Niclas Andersson from Malmö University and Kristina Careva from the Faculty of Architecture, University of Zagreb.

During the meeting, participants discussed the development of local and international STEM ecosystems, the role of FabLabs in their communities, innovative approaches to education, digital fabrication, and opportunities for future collaboration through international projects and initiatives. The exchange of knowledge and experience among experts from different countries highlighted the importance of open collaboration and knowledge sharing in building sustainable and inclusive communities that are prepared for the challenges of the future.

FabLab Zagreb continues to serve as a meeting place for ideas, technology, and people—an open space for learning, experimentation, and the development of new partnerships that connect the local community with an international network of innovators. 🙂
